About Pro Academy Drills

Hi, I'm Tom.

I've spent over 20 years working within professional football academies, and 22 years as a PE teacher, currently working as a Head of PE.

Pro Academy Drills was born out of a simple frustration: the gap between the quality of coaching resources available at elite level and what grassroots coaches and PE teachers actually have access to.

During my time in professional academies I worked with some of the most talented young players in the country, using structured, game-based sessions built around real match situations. The planning, the progressions, the coaching points; everything was designed to develop players systematically and intelligently.

But when I looked at what was available for grassroots coaches and teachers, it didn't come close. Most coaches were spending hours every week planning sessions from scratch, often without a clear framework or progression in mind.

So I decided to change that.
